Privacy Policy

RatherCoding Inbox is a personal Gmail assistant operated solely for its owner's use. It is not offered as a public service and does not support registration by other users.

Gmail access

The app uses Google OAuth to access the owner's Gmail account. Its current permission is gmail.readonly, which allows reading Gmail messages and related information, including attachments, but not sending or modifying mail.

Planned features may include sending messages, changing labels, archiving messages, and moving them to Trash (not permanently deleting them). These features are not currently authorized by the read-only permission and would require additional Google OAuth authorization before use.

How information is used

Gmail content is accessed for email-assistance tasks requested by the owner, such as searching, reading, and summarizing messages. The app runs through OpenClaw on the owner's Mac mini. Relevant Gmail content may be sent to OpenAI / ChatGPT Codex to generate the requested responses.

Results may also be transmitted to Discord through the owner's OpenClaw bot in direct messages or private server channels intended to be accessible only to the owner and the bot. Access is subject to Discord permissions and service practices.

The app does not sell Gmail information, use it for advertising, or intentionally use it to train general-purpose AI models.

Storage and retention

OpenClaw may retain related data in locally managed sessions, memory, logs, or backups on the owner's Mac mini. There is no stated automatic deletion schedule for these local copies. Gmail-related Discord messages are kept until the owner manually deletes them. OpenAI and Discord may independently process or retain data according to their applicable service policies.

Owner control

The owner may revoke Gmail authorization at any time through Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future authorized Gmail API access but does not automatically erase information already included in OpenClaw history, external AI processing, Discord messages, or backups. The owner manages deletion of locally stored app data and Discord messages.
